mandela day
The overarching objective of international Nelson Mandela Day is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better, and in doing so build a global movement for good one small step at a time, just as Mr. Mandela did. Ultimately it seeks to empower communities everywhere. “Take Action; Inspire Change; Make Every Day a Mandela Day.” Individuals and organizations are free to participate in Mandela Day as they wish. Mandela Day is a call to action for individuals – for people everywhere – to take responsibility for changing the world into a better place.
Nelson Mandela gave 67 years of his life fighting for the rights of humanity. All we are asking is that everyone gives 67 minutes of their time, whether it’s supporting your chosen charity or serving your local community. Learn more at: www.mandeladay.co
IMAGE CONTROL ASSESSMENT SERIES, 2012
In the spirit of the 2009 Camera Assessment Series, the ASC, PGA, and GIVING Revelations Entertainment joined forces to execute the Imaging Control Assessment Series (ICAS). Over 200 entirely volunteer industry professionals, dedicated to furthering the education of digital cinema, descended upon the historic back lot of Warner Brothers Studios.
The result was a unique showcase of the individual characteristics of current high-end digital motion picture cameras and current post-production work-flows. Participating camera manufacturers were Arri Alexa, RED Epic, Sony F-65, Sony F3, Canon C300 and a Arri 35MM Film Camera.
CAMERA ASSESSMENT SERIES, 2009
With the cooperation from the manufacturers of the 7 leading digital cinema cameras, The Camera Assessment Series is a joint venture between the American Society of Cinematographers, the Producers Guild of America and Revelations Entertainment. In March 2009 a voluntary crew over 300 top industry professionals descended upon Universal Studios for the first ever Camera Assessment Series. The purpose of this series was to look at the most currently used digital cameras as they compare to 35mm film cameras. Part of the assessment was designed to help producers prepare for a future where digital cameras are being used more often than not in the film and television industry.
